To Lawrence Ferlinghetti
Athens, Greece
[Sept. 15] 1959

Well I'm finally here! On the Acropolis with wind and storm — hear old Triton blow his weathered horn. I still didn't get my proofs from Laughlin, is he always that slow? How are things? - Good about Her — send me rush copy and all kinds of news and new things. I guess i' ll spend winter here.
Love, Gregory

To Allen Ginsberg
Athens [Sept. 24] 1959

Dear Allen, Your letter cards sound so rushed that nothing seems to be happening to your life of good ecru-report. Anyway I am filled with Athens and know well its tower of winds Acropolis Agora stoas etc. and say to you that you are too serious with the no-goodness; face it, saints can unbuild, St. Paul chasing away the Gods of Greece, yet rebuild, what beyond the St.? Go to Chile, be good and happy, dear friend, serious conglomerous Theseus friend.
Love, Gregory
